Seasonal Diver Positions – Help Protect Adirondack Waterways!

The Upper Saranac Foundation is hiring full-time seasonal divers to manage aquatic invasive species. We’re looking for energetic individuals who love being on the water and are passionate about preserving the natural beauty of our lakes.

Interested in diving but not yet certified? We can help you get certified!

  • Season: Late May – Late September (shorter temporary positions available from June – August for certified divers).
  • Primary Responsibilities: Search for and hand-harvest underwater invasive plants to prevent their spread throughout Adirondack waterbodies. On-the-job training provided.
  • Schedule: Four 10-hour days, typically Monday – Thursday, working in the Saranac Lake and Tri-Lakes region.
  • Pay: Starting at $28/hour, adjusted based on experience.
  • Preferred Skills: Current diver certification (or willingness to obtain), aquatic invasive species knowledge, First Aid/CPR, and boat operation skills.
