Cyanotype Photographic Workshop

Participants in this workshop will spend a lovely afternoon with Andy Bale and Terri Shadle learning a photographic process known as the Cyanotype. This 19th-century, camera-less printing technique was invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842 and produces a beautiful Prussian blue monochromatic print, using UV light and water. The process is completely non-toxic and safe to both participants and the environment. Andy and his wife Terri are both photographers and artists living and working in Harrisburg, PA, but they spend a large part of their summers in the Adirondacks. Andy teaches photography at Dickinson College in Carlisle and Terri is currently a freelance graphic artist. You can learn more about them at the following websites. www.balephoto.com & www.shadlestudio.com
