Saranac Glitterati and Literati: Webinar and Virtual Happy Hour
Thursday, August 13, 2020 | 5:30 pm
A touch of glamour and history to relieve our anti-social summer! Grab your favorite libation and connect from wherever you are as Amy Catania of Historic Saranac Lake introduces us to a fascinating cast of characters. Gerald and Sara Murphy were well known patrons of the arts in New York and Europe in the 1920s and 30s. They moved to Saranac Lake in 1935 to care for their son, Patrick, who was ill with tuberculosis. While here, they were visited by many famous friends, among them Ernest Hemingway, John Dos Passos, Fernand Leger, and Dorothy Parker. Webinar connection information will be sent later.
