For over a century, the USLA has worked to preserve, enhance and protect the natural beauty and environmental purity of the Upper Saranac Lake, its watershed and the adjacent lands and forests. We encourage and assist members and the general public in the safe and responsible recreational enjoyment of these waters, without degrading or deteriorating their natural state. We advocate for laws, policies and regulations which protect these resources, and further protect the interests of owners and tenants in the area. We promote and educate our membership about the historic culture of the area which is the basis for improving the fragile relationship that humans have with the natural resources and ecosystems of the lakes environment.
