USLA Scholarship Fund

The USLA Scholarship Fund provides two scholarships to a graduating senior from Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake High Schools.  Scholarships are awarded based on the students’ strong character, high motivation and community involvement.  Past scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing environmental studies and those who wish to return home to the Adirondacks after their studies are completed, to contribute to the economic vitality of the region.

In 2019, the USLA Scholarship Fund was issued in the name of Ridgely “Chip” Harrison, a long time USLA member and secretary of the board, who passed away in a tragic accident. This scholarship honors the memory of an outdoorsman of high achievement through hard work who remained unassuming, generous and genuinely beloved.
