NOTICE OF CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW TO ADOPT A MORATORIUM ON COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE R-C 1.3 and R-C 3.2 ZONING DISTRICTS IN THE TOWN OF SANTA CLARA
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that at its meeting held on December 28, 2020, the Santa Clara Town Board opened a duly-noticed Public Hearing concerning proposed Local Law No. 01 of 2020, which would impose a moratorium until June 30, 2021, on commercial development within the R-C 1.3 and R-C 3.2 zoning districts in the Town of Santa Clara for the purpose of allowing time for the Santa Clara Town Board to develop and enact new regulations governing commercial development in those zoning districts. At its meeting on December 28, 2020, the Town Board approved a motion to continue the Public Hearing on proposed Local Law No. 01 of 2020. Additional written comments will be accepted until 5:00 PM on January 7, 2021. Additional spoken comments from any person wishing to speak will be heard by the Town Board beginning at 6:00 PM on January 14, 2021. In order to protect public health and safety in this time of Covid-19 infections, the continued Public Hearing for spoken comments will be held remotely, via electronic means, rather than in-person. Persons wanting to make a spoken comment during the continued Public Hearing may log in by computer to the following Zoom link on the Internet: Meeting Id 917 3317 0540 Password rwJ7ev. Written comments may be submitted by mailing them to the Town Clerk at the following address: Santa Clara Town Clerk, 5359 State Route 30, Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Comments mailed to the Town Clerk must be received no later than 5:00 PM on January 7, 2021 in order to be considered. A copy of the proposed Local Law is on file for public inspection during regular business hours in the Town Clerk’s Office at the Santa Clara Town Hall, 5367 State Route 30, Saranac Inn, New York, 12983. A copy may be obtained at no charge from the Town Clerk upon request.
